The Inauguration
Florida higher education officials, university presidents and representatives, members of governing boards – and UF students, faculty, and staff – gathered on Nov. 2 to celebrate the inauguration of UF’s 13th president, Ben Sasse.
The 3 p.m. ceremony at University Auditorium featured the presentation of colors by the UF ROTC Color Guard, music performed by UF School of Music students and faculty, remarks by dignitaries, the presentation of UF’s ceremonial symbols marking the formal conferral of authority — and President Sasse’s Inaugural Address.
The ceremony was open to members of the UF community, alumni, and the public.
